Positions Available:

Research Scientist Positions:
We are looking for a Research Scientist for assisting in state-of-the-art BioMEMS and Bionanotechnology related projects that integrate engineering and life sciences at the micro- and nano-scale. A deep knowledge and understanding of molecular and cellular biology is required with hands-on experience in experimental techniques, such as cell culture, DNA amplification, PCR, gel electrophoresis, etc. The ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and with engineers/applied scientists is a must. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to supervise students required.

Post-Doc Positions:
Postdoctoral Research Associate is also available: 12 month position (extendable to 24 months on mutual agreement) are available. Qualified applicants will have a PhD in Electrical, Biomedical, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related life sciences disciplines. Experience in micro-fabrication and IC processing with emphasis on sensors, MEMS, and biomedical applications required. Life sciences experiences and education is a big advantage.

PhD Students:
PhD students positions are also available for highly qualified students to work on BioMEMS and Bionanotechnology projects. Experience in micro-fabrication and IC processing with emphasis on sensors, MEMS, and biomedical applications. Life sciences experiences and education is a big advantage.

Undergraduate Students:
Research positions are available for highly qualified students to work on BioMEMS and Bionanotechnology projects. Projects include (i) various lab on chip platforms such as nanopores for DNA detection and sequencing, silicon FETs for detection of proteins and DNA, etc., and (ii) 2/3D biofabrication for tissue engineering and cellular systems. Tasks could include measurement and testing of biosensors, surface functionalization, cell culture, fluorescence microscopy, etc.
